Selecting Skin Rejuvenation

Skin rejuvenation is a term for treatments that soften the appearance of wrinkles and blemishes, improve rough dry skin and may promote collagen production to prevent facial sagging.

  • Laser skin rejuvenation: Our Sandstone Matrix CO2 fractional laser is highly targeted, non-ablative, and can help promote collagen production in the treatment area. A few treatment sessions may be required for maximum rejuvenation of the skin.
  • Microdermabrasion: Provides gentle abrasion, advanced skin exfoliation and acceleration of the skin regeneration process. With no downtime, it's easy to fit this affordable treatment into your schedule and have regular touch-up treatments to maintain your smooth skin appearance.

Skin rejuvenation procedures may be performed on their own or in conjunction with facial plastic surgery procedures. Other non-surgical treatment options include IPL Photofacial treatments and laser hair removal.

Frequently Asked Questions

How does microdermabrasion compare to fractional CO2 laser skin resurfacing?

Microdermabrasion can treat mild to moderate acne and early signs of aging. The fractional CO2 laser treats acne and acne scarring, as well as more advanced signs of aging. The fractional CO2 laser also can stimulate collagen production to prevent facial sagging. Some of our patients have both microdermabrasion and fractional CO2 laser treatments, and can protect and nourish their smoother skin with medical skin care products.

How does the fractional CO2 laser compare with injectable and fillers treatments?

Fractional CO2 lasers are designed to treat moderate to severe wrinkling caused by the natural aging process and exposure to the elements. BOTOX® Cosmetic treats wrinkles caused by repeated facial movement such as forehead lines, crow's feet and wrinkles between the brows. Injectable fillers create volume in depressed facial areas and skin folds such as nasolabial folds (smile lines) and hollowed cheeks. During your consultation, you can learn more about the types of wrinkles that you have and the appropriate treatment options.
